Ibiza, the island with by far the most parties per square foot. There are countless clubs, innumerable little bars & even more restaurants. Mostly very expensive, but there are also places where your credit card isn’t immediately blocked for outrageous spending. Pricey villas with a pool or a much cheaper Airbnb. On Ibiza, it can all be done. That’s why we’ll share all our Ibiza tips and try not to send you home completely bankrupt…

Flights to Ibiza leave from Amsterdam, Eindhoven and Rotterdam / The Hague (we live in the Netherlands). We usually book directly with Ryanair or Transavia, because that’s the easiest. The flight takes about 2.5 hours. We usually book taxis on the island with Uber. Ideal, since you can check your driver’s exact location. You also know in advance what the ride to your destination on the island will cost.

Ibiza travel guide with tips for restaurants and hotspots

Ibiza tips: a great place for lunch

  1. Brunchit Ibiza. Hungover from the night before? Then this is the ideal place to start the day right! It’s a mix of hip and cozy. Instagram-worthy dishes and quick staff who are happy to advise you on the best anti-hangover breakfast. It’s located on the boulevard of Santa Eulalia. Bring a beach towel & take a well-deserved afternoon nap on the beach afterwards.

Ibiza tips: the best (pricey) restaurants

  1. The Beachhouse Ibiza. On Thursday evenings the theme is BOHO Experience. An extra reason to reserve a table at the restaurant. You can do that online, and it’s necessary if you want to snag a spot. It’s not cheap, though, and you pay a deposit of $228 per person. Celebrities, influencers and mostly tourists with fat bank accounts sit down to dinner here. Cocktails also cost $23. Our bottle of rosé arrived at the table with a price tag of $399. Halfway through dinner the evening guests quickly fill the dance floor. A setting sun, a DJ and plenty of entertainment. If you come to eat, we advise arriving at 7:00 PM and only attending the party from 9:00 PM. At midnight everyone leaves the Beachhouse Ibiza and it’s time to find another club. Because on Ibiza, it’s always party time.
  2. Amante Ibiza. Dinner or lunch with a fantastic view over the bay. The Mediterranean cuisine is also top-notch (the food is better here than at the Beachhouse). Seafood paella is therefore a recommendation. Don’t be shocked by the bill, but it’s worth every penny. If you come in the fall like we did, bring a sweater; the evenings can get quite cold on the coast.
  3. La Paloma Ibiza. Restaurant in picturesque San Lorenzo. Mediterranean dishes with a bohemian flair. A fantastic spot for a romantic dinner or to impress your friends with your ‘culinary’ choices. The homemade pizzas are so good that you can postpone all your diet plans until after the vacation. The cheaper option on this list.
  4. Nobu Restaurant Ibiza. Japanese cuisine with sushi and fusion dishes. Reserving in advance is a must. Maybe raise your credit card limit ;-).

Restaurant on Ibiza with entertainment

  1. Lio Ibiza. Iconic spot in the harbor of Ibiza Town. It’s a restaurant, club and show venue all in one. Reservations are almost essential, because otherwise there’s a good chance there’s really no room. You can eat fresh seafood and delicious meat dishes, for example. The combination of dining and entertainment is unique. It feels like you’re attending a big Broadway show. Acrobatic acts or a daring drag show, anything goes here. Dancing shoes on. Afterwards, maybe set up a crowdfunding campaign to limit the damage.

Ibiza tips: the most famous clubs

  1. Ushuaïa Ibiza. First time on the island? Then you really have to stop by this open-air festival for one night. In the summer season there’s a famous DJ behind the decks almost every day. David Guetta and Martin Garrix have their own night here. Entry is between $68 and $137, since it varies per event. Mixed drinks $29. Take out a loan in advance!
  2. Pacha Ibiza. Iconic club on the island. It’s located in Ibiza Town. The club opened in 1973. We went twice in 2024. The night with Camelphat. What stood out was that there were a lot of English people that Tuesday. In our opinion not the most fun crowd to party with. The Flower Power night on Saturday was a lot better in terms of vibe. Definitely worth a visit because of its fame. Still, there are better clubs on the island now!
  3. Amnesia Ibiza. Electronic open-air temple. This is the place to be for the perfect afterparty. Parties here usually start around 6:00 AM. Most visitors clearly skip breakfast & flop into bed around noon.
  4. Hï Ibiza. A massive club with a massive light show. Entry is usually around $114 per person. Usually so crowded that the party in the restrooms is the most fun of all. Because maybe you’ve seen it pass by on social media, usually an equally cool DJ plays here.
  5. UNVRS Ibiza. New since 2025: a hyperclub on the site of the legendary Privilege in San Rafael. In 2026 UNVRS was even named best club in the world by DJ Mag. So it’s at the top of our list for next time!

Note: the prices above are from our visit in 2024. In 2026 you’ll usually pay between $34 and $171 entry for the big clubs, depending on the DJ and the night.

Ibiza tips: alternative clubs and parties

  1. Club Chinois Ibiza. Our favorite party in 2024 was La Troya at Chinois. An eccentric and naughty concept that has existed on the island for about four decades. The event disappeared for a while, but it’s back now. It was once born as an underground party. Now perhaps the most LGBTQ+-friendly night on Ibiza. A mature crowd that goes wild to the beats of Bob Sinclar. This party takes place on Mondays during the going-out season. Entry is around $68. Mixed drinks $29. Not cheap ;-). We ended up deciding to get a VIP table. A bottle of Grey Goose was $1,026. The Bacardi 8 Years Old was only $684 a bottle. Bargain :-p. Still, it was a memorable night and we wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Recommended! This club is located near the harbor in Ibiza Town, a stone’s throw from Pacha.
  2. Akasha Ibiza. On Wednesday it’s time for Namaste at Las Dalias. Around 7:00 PM all the locals gather here at the hippie market. Many Dutch people who live on the island come here. A hippie market with fun food stands, stalls, palm readers & other creative entertainment. A good, slightly alternative crowd. The atmosphere is lovely and a little later in the evening everyone dances outside until midnight. After that the party continues at the club Akasha. Buy an entry ticket in advance. This venue isn’t big. The sound is fantastic. No commercial house, but with a little luck you’ll be completely enchanted by the Spanish female house DJ. Drinks are also cheaper here than in the big clubs!
  3. Pikes Hotel Ibiza. It’s located near San Antonio. On Saturdays, though, the best parties turn out to be here. No entry fee, but you have to sign up for the guest list two weeks in advance, when it opens. You can do that via the website, for example.

Ibiza tips: the most beautiful sights

  1. Dalt Vila. This historic old town looks like a painting you can walk through. You can admire the centuries-old walls, but watch out for the stairs! They’re not just there to give you a workout, but also to make you swoon over the breathtaking views… or perhaps to catch you in a theatrical fall.
  2. Es Vedrà. This mysterious rock is the place to discover your spiritual side. Or, if you can’t, you can just take a selfie and say you’ve embraced the spiritual life. And who knows, you might even see a UFO – at least that’s what the locals claim!
  3. Café del Mar. Here you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets while sipping a Pornstar Martini. You might think you’re on a chill vacation, but the real challenge is finding the perfect pose for your Instagram photo without anyone knocking over your cocktail.
  4. Hippie market in Es Canar. This is the place for anyone who wants to embrace their inner hippie. Expect an abundance of handmade bracelets and the feeling that you’ve gone back in time a few years. Oh, and don’t forget to put on your best ‘I’m very zen’ face while you haggle over the price!
  5. Formentera. Technically not part of Ibiza, but a short boat ride from the island party machine. Here you can unlock your inner James Bond (or Bond girl) while zooming along idyllic roads on a scooter. Make sure you put on sunglasses, otherwise you’ll just look like a lost tourist.
