Boracay hotels, for when you just want to completely relax. Swaying palm trees and the whitest beaches. We’ve now visited this fantastic island in the Philippines twice. Some tourists find Boracay far too touristy. It is indeed quite busy, but we’re happy to tell you about the cool & especially quiet spots. There are also an enormous number of beautiful hotels & gorgeous resorts. And when we tell you about our COAST, the best hotel on Boracay, you’ll want only one thing. To go there!

How do you get to Boracay? From Cebu or Manila you fly to Caticlan. That’s the nearest airport. If you book a somewhat better or luxury hotel, someone will already be waiting for you there. From there it’s about a 10 to 15 minute drive to the port. If you don’t have a transfer, you can arrange one at a counter outside. It’s important that you’ve already booked a hotel night or reservation on Boracay. Because of the increase in tourism, they now allow a maximum of 19,000 tourists per day on the island. Hence the check at the port. Some of the better and especially luxury hotels have their own speedboat in the harbor to take you across. This saves you a lot of waiting in particular. That’s how we were standing in front of our fantastic hotel COAST within half an hour. A small-scale resort that literally sits right on White Beach. The most beautiful spot in paradise. COAST & BLUE MARINA | HOTELS BORACAY

Our absolute favorite places to stay on Boracay. COAST and Blue Marina are family ;-). Both hotels are located between Station 2 and 3 (White Beach). There are a few differences, though. First of all, COAST is right on the beach. The resort is larger than the small-scale Blue Marina. COAST’s suites and rooms are more expensive, mainly because of the location, two swimming pools and the extensive breakfast. Blue Marina is a 330-foot walk from the beach, slightly hidden away in an alley. More of a boutique spot with only 8 rooms. And since only a maximum number of tourists may enter the island per day, booking in time is a must. During our last visit to COAST we even had to adjust our itinerary to be able to stay here.

We prefer to book our hotels directly via the hotel’s own website. That way you’re in direct contact with the hotel right away, for example about a transfer or a special request. With a direct booking you also regularly get a better price or a little extra, such as breakfast or a room upgrade. Always check the cancellation terms, so you can still change your itinerary last minute.
